Last summer we started doing some paper mâché work. Actually at the beginning I did not have a clue what I was going to do. I just was squishing the stuff between my fingers - had no clue what I wanted to create. But doing my squishing it came to my mind that it would be pretty easy to do a snail.
It's a huge work in progress. The idea for a small "light installation" came only later.
Anyway, I started to give Gary - named after Sponge Bob's pet - some color and just recently I started on the electrical circuit for the LEDs. I am going to use two rotary encoders to control the LEDs and also a 7-segment display to show the current time. All controlled by an Arduino Uno. Let me surprise you.
When finished I will open-source everything. The circuit and the sketch. You still will have to build your own Gary - or Sandy, or Patrick, or Mr. Crabs, or whomever. :-)
Did This Help You? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you commented below and shared on Facebook
